How Deaf Experience Association Is Organized
Deaf Experience Association, Inc. is a non-profit 502(c)(3) - (pending) community organization whose pursuit is to serve the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community not only in Osceola County, but also around Central Florida area. In agreement with our vision statement, DEAI has established a program of advocacy and leadership where (with DEAI support) constituents advocate for themselves and educate the mainstream community (and businesses) about the rights of the Deaf individual.
Organizationally, DEAI has formed four committees to oversee the growth of the organization, these are:
- Executive Committee
- Fund-Raising Committee
- Client Service Committee
- Recruitment Committee
Executive Committee is responsible for handling the executive and organizational responsibilities of the organization. Fund-Raising Committee is responsible for locating funds for the organization’s survival. Client Service Committee is responsible for dispensing clients with a variety of services, including advocacy and education. Recruitment Committee is responsible for maintaining involvement with the members of our community and promotion of DEIA objectives.
We invite you to be part of these efforts by giving of your time and experience as DEAI is solely supported by members; contributions. DEAI Board of Directors and Committees meet twice a month at its office at 1310 N. Main Street - Suite 103, Kissimmee, FL 34744.
