BB's In The Soup
To fulfil an assignment in her high school cooking class, seventeen year old Linda decided to
cook dinner for a few of her friends and their mothers. The day came, and Linda had assembled
all the ingredients for a superb meal. For starters, she had decided on a nice tomato soup,
and lifting the lid to look in, Linda's eight year old brother decided to make the soup extra
good for his sister. He ran to his room, retrieved a package of BB's, ran back to the kitchen,
and when his sister wasn't looking, poured the BB's into the soup.
The dinner was a great success, and the guests left with many compliments to the young host.
However, the next day one of the mothers called Linda and asked her what she had put into the
soup. Linda answered that she had used only the usual ingredients. The mother then said,
"Well, you know, it was really strange. This morning I reached down to pick up the newspaper,
and I shot my canary."
Note: This has been one of my all-time favorite jokes since I was a teenager. I told this
joke on a double date, as the four of us sat at an ice cream shop eating ice cream sundae's.
At the punch line, both girls burst out laughing, spitting out their mouthfulls of ice cream
onto the people opposite them, which, luckily, was each other.
Go back.
