ROSE REVOLUTION: August 7th, 1999 to August 28th, 2000.

It was a labor of love. But after a year, Earth Princess and Kotetsu have to say goodbye to this website. We are both deeply involved in school life, as well as other online projects that require a deeper commitment of time and effort.

This weekend, we both had the opportunity to see the Utena movie fansubbed. It was a wonderful experience, and something that we're very grateful for. We still love Utena - truly, madly, deeply. Unfortunately, we feel that there is no real reason for us to continue to update this page. Yes, there is a lot more information that could be added - dealing with the Black Rose episodes, the final episodes, and the movie. The problem is that neither of us has the time OR the inspiration to do so. We realized that . . . We just don't feel like working on this site anymore. We've moved on to other projects. We still love Utena, but we just don't feel inspired enough to work on this site anymore. That's all.

This site will remain open, and all of its contents will still be accessible by the public. However, from this point onward, expect the pages within this site to remain static and unchanging. We are in the process of deleting our ohtoriacademy.com email address, and the Guest Book has also been deleted. If you wish to contact one or both of us, please check out our other websites.

We wish to extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to this site. For those of you who let us use images, for those of you who contributed to the Symbolism section, and for those of you who posted your fanfiction: Thank you, thank you, thank you a hundred times over. You people are awesome!

Kodocha Anime reported in July that the Black Rose episodes of Utena had gone commercial. Perhaps sometime in the near future, even more episodes of the Utena television series will be available in North America. And with the recent buzz that the movie has been generating, it's safe to say that somehow, someday, somebody will release the rest of the television and the anime to the English-speaking world. Like all Utena fans, we are crossing our fingers.

Much love and thanks,

~ Earth Princess, webmistress of AnimExtras and Chibi-Heart Productions

~ Kotetsu, webmistress of Starlight Pops
