Kotetsu's Rave Number One:Rhyme and Reason"Arisugawa Juri's" excellent Juri shrine, Arisugawa's Locket, just recently added a section entitled Rhyme and Reason. The focus of the section is - gasp - a relationship between Miki and Juri!? My initial reaction when I logged on to this page was, "Wow! It's so obvious, why didn't I think of that?" Actually, a relationship between Miki and Juri would be perfect! I don't want to expand to much upon why that's so (all of those arguements are most eloquently stated in Rhyme and Reason) but the basic logic is almost flawless. Miki wants Anthy, but Anthy is clearly meant for Utena. Juri wants Shiori, but . . . Shiori is not that nice of a character. "Juri" states her opinion on Shiori quite clearly in another section of AL, the Anti-Shiori Shrine. Although my personal opinion is that Miki and Anthy would make a great couple, it is clearly not meant to be. I also remember watching episodes four and five of Utena for the first time, and getting the impression that Juri was attracted to Miki. When I viewed episode seven I realized that I had been in error . . . or at least thought that I had been. Was I really mistaken? Anyway, the point of the rave is that Rhyme and Reason is an awesome and original concept that I wholly support. Juri and Miki would be so perfect together . . . but I've already said that already, haven't I? I'm being redundant! I'll conclude this rave by asking all Utena fans to visit and support this site! May Miki and Juri live happily ever after. |
