HOMEMADE LITHUANIAN HALF-SOUR PICKLES

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wash cukes
  2. Layer dill
  3. Layer cukes in crock or large glass jar.
  4. Mix all ingredients together until salt is dissolved.
  5. Pour over cukes, making sure to keep cukes under liquid.
  6. Let stand for 2 to 3 days at room temperature.
Joe's Tips

If cukes foam up, skim off. Keep a heavy weight on cukes if in a large crock. Do not cover tightly. Refrigerate after pickles have turned a brown color.
