Yarn Dolls

  1. Wrap yarn around the cardboard once around the longer side and tie a knot.
  2. Wrap yarn around the cardboard many times until it is as full as you want the body of your doll to be.
  3. Clip the yarn to remove it from the ball, then cut across the bottom of the cardboard to remove the wrapped yarn from the cardboard.



  4. Keep yarn folded in half.



  5. Tie a piece of yarn around the bundle to make a head.



  6. Divide the pieces of yarn at the bottom into four even bundles.



  7. Tie a piece of yarn around bundle 1 to make a hand. Tie another piece of yarn around bundle 4 to make the other hand. Tie another piece of yarn around bundles 2 and 3 to make a waist. (Ties are shown in blue.)



  8. If you want a female doll, you are already done. Good Job! If you want a male doll, continue with the following steps.



  9. Divide the yarn into 2 equal bundles.



  10. Tie a piece of yarn around each bundle to make feet (similar to making hands).



  11. You are done.
