President Hinckley in the Temple

This legend was told to me only a month ago. Here's the story:

"I heard there was a young couple getting married in the Salt Lake City temple and they had saved alot of money to go on a honeymoon to Hawaii. After the marriage was performed, the couple was visiting with friends and family in the hall when President Hinckley came walking by. He took the time to stop and speak with the newly married couple and asked them what they were going to do for their honeymoon. When they explained to him what they had planned and how they had saved up the money, President Hinckley look at them and said, "I would council you to lay aside your plans for this honeymoon and use the money you have saved to buy your food storage." Then he left. The couple followed his advice and skipped the honeymoon."

This story is highly suspect. It follows the standard pattern of an "Action Story". While I have yet to completely verify that the story is false, I highly doubt its accuracy. My main reason for doing so is because couples and families are not allowed to "visit" in the hallways of the temple. All visiting is done in the sealing room or in the lobby. I plan on making contact with the Office of the First Presidency to attempt to verify that this story is false. I will keep you posted.
