Buffy walked through the streets of Sunnydale. She was getting tired of patrolling. Tonight alone she had dusted seven vamps. It was getting boreing. Most of them weren't even putting up a good fight. Buffy was about to call it quits when a vamp came and knocked her down from behind. "Hey, play fair!" Buffy tried to get up, but the vamp pinned her to the ground. Buffy struggles underneath him. Damn, he was strong!
Suddenly the vamp was gone, and a cloud of dust took its place. Buffy looked up to see Oz standing in front of her. "Thanks." She smiled. Oz held out his hand to help her up. Buffy pulled herself up and brushed herself off. "Close call, huh?" Oz smirked. They started walking down the street. "So, I don't see much of you anymore. How have you been?"
"I'm OK, but I still can't believe that Willow and Angel got together. She was my best friend. And she loved you. I thought that he loved me too." Buffy sighed.
"There's someone out there for everyone. We just haven't found them yet."
"Well, I don't think I can wait much longer. But enough about the depressing things in life. How's college working out for you?"
Buffy turned to look at Oz. "It's going OK. I'm not struggling to hard, but it's sertaintly harder than high school was." Oz turned the corned and lead Buffy into the park. They began to walk along the stone path. Moonlight added a shimmer, making the scene slightly romantic. "Why don't we sit down for a while?" Oz motioned to a bench.
"Good idea. Slaying wasn't ment to be done in pumps." Buffy laughed and sat down.
"Why are you wearing pumps?" Oz sat down next to her. He smiled at the way the moon light up Buffy's face. She looked pretty good.
"I'm on my way home from the Bronze. I promised Giles that I would patrol, but I got sidetracked. I decided to make the rounds on my way home. These shoes are really killing me." Buffy bent over and slid her shoes off. Her toenails were painted a light purple. Oz thought she had cute feet.
"Who were you at the Bronze with?"
"I was by myself. I guess I was trying to find someone to be with. I really failed that, huh?" Buffy let out a small laugh. She didn't know why, but Oz was making her nervous.
"Maybe we could go together sometime. I'm always looking for someone to go there with." He smiled hopefully at Buffy.
"I'd like that." She smiled back at him. Hopping off the bench, she said, "We better get going. I still have to finish an English report. Will you walk me home?"
"Yeah." Oz stood up and took Buffy's hand. Then they walked off together.
