MEXICO PICS PAGE 2

Now, obviously I can't tell you every little detail about the trip b/c that would just take forever...but I will give you a rundown of what we did in Mexico. Okay, we got there in the evening on Monday, we ate, we put our stuff in our rooms and that was it. By the time we got to bed it was probably about ten. We got up on Tuesday morning at around eight I think and got ready and then we went downstairs to have breakfast. At around ten we all went outside and Ed gave us tracts to hand out and divided us into groups. Then we set a time to meet back together and we went around the town passing our tracts to people. Then we met again at around 1:30 (if we ran out of tracts we were allowed to venture with our guides into the stores and marketplace, and that was an adventure!). Then we would go back to eat lunch, ready to die from the heat, then we went upstairs to our (me, Lauren, Kristen, and Michelle's)room and learned some Spanish songs and a play to do during the service later that night. Then around six we all met back downstairs in the lobby, and we piled in the van and went to the park. We walked around, handed out more tracts, and walked around looking at stuff a little, and then probably at about seven we walked down the street a little to another park, and we held a service. We sang spanish songs, and then the spanish preacher, Sammy, that was with us led a service in teh park. Five people(I think) were saved. That was an experience in itself. At the end of the service, some old drunk guy interupted the service and was saying stuff, who knows what(it was in Spanish). They finally calmed him down. After the service we went back to the hotel and ate supper, then went up to our rooms for the night. Might I add that each meal lasted about three hours because Ed liked to talk! :) In our room we took showers and then read some, and talked and stuff. We also had a shaving party one night. :) We eventually went to sleep, and on Wednesday we went out and did the same thing in the morning, except for we were given a bit more time to shop and get souvenirs and things. Then we headed back to the hotel, ate lunch and had free time until about six. Then we all got in the van, and went to the Valles church to attend a service. There were probably about close to 200 people there. Anyway, we sang again, and then gave little testimony's(Ed translated for us to the Mexicans)then we watched a movie, a LONG movie. We chatted awhile afterwards then left, ate at the hotel again, and went up to our rooms. Thursday we got up and left the hotel at ten to go sightseeing. We went to an Indian Village, and then we went to a place called Pago, Pago. It had seven waterfalls and was surrounded by mountains. After sightseeing we went to another church service in Micos, and then we went home. We got up bright and early Friday and left for our ten hour drive back to Texas where we would stay the night and then leave on Saturday around five to come back home. But anyway, here are a few more pics!!! :)

Now here is a shot of us at one of "our tables" in our hotel restaurant that we ate at 3 times a day for a whole week. We never had time to get hungary as much as we ate, and as little time as we had between meals!

Here is Ed and Rae-Ann, our missionaries, in the restaurant.

This is me posing with some little Mexican boy at the park who kept following me around. He has one of the tracts that we passed out in his hands.

This is Junior and Israel on Wednesday after shopping. If you look in the background, this is what the downtown looks like! It's all very crammed together and the streets are rather narrow.

This is another shot of downtown Mexico. Man, they have some crazy drivers. There are like no traffic laws...everyone makes their own laws, or at least they act like it!

Here is me on the balcony of our floor. Miranda, me, Mike and James walked back before everyone else did, and me and Miranda were out of the balcony reading and watching, and waiting for them to come back. We were waiting for awhile because it seems that a few of them got lost while shopping.

Here is Junior and another guy, I forget his name, at lunch. Junior was sad at this point. Because somehow he thought that the kids being lost was his fault...but don't worry they were found and they were safe.

here is Israel, and a couple other Mexicans we were with a lot in Mexico.

Here is me, Lauren, Kristen, and Michelle after shopping being stupid with our souvenirs.

Lauren, Kristen, and Michelle acting like Charlie's angels. HEHEHE, what a bunch!

Here is the Valles church...with only three cement walls to hold it up. This is a special place.

Here is only two of the pics of Pago, Pago. I would have loved to put up every single one, but I just don't have the space to do it. These two pics just do not do justice to this most beautiful place!!!
