The studio plans to release the animated picture, called Pokemon: Revelation Lugia in Japan, in July of 2000. They feel that the Pokemon franchise will be strong enough at that point to make it a viable release.
No plans have been made for the release of the third Pokemon movie, which is also due out this summer in Japan.
