Did you know they left stuff out when this game came to the US as FF2?
-FF2 is actually the easy version of FF4 - you see, there were two versions of FF4 in Japan, one of which was the normal, hard version, and the other of which was the easy type for newer gamers. We got the easy type. :(
-In the US version, in one of the towns, you can buy a pass to see a few dancing girls. In the Japanese version, the girls are nude! You see, in Japan, nudity is acceptable, unlike in the US.
-In one of the rooms near the dressing room, you could get a scroll that, when activated, changes the screen to a different color and plays the doll music.
-In the Japanese version, Cecil (I think dark only) could use an attack that works like a bomb that you see in the beggining of the game, only it would take a little of his life away.
-In the Japanese version, it's possible to cure Palom and Porom of their unfortunate condition of being stoned!:)
-There's more items in the Japanese version, including an extra bomb item.
-There's a Call by the name of Roc in the Japanese version.
-In Japan, Rosa had a unique little attack called pray, I believe it could heal a bit of HP to all players without using any MP.
-Porom had an attack that was called Fake Cry, she would hop next to the enemy, and stuff her hands into her face and cry her eyes out. The enemy would be stunned for a few turns.
-Palom had an attack called Boast that inceased his HP and MP.
-Edward the Bard/Prince had a pretty useless attack called Medicine. He could use a potion and stretch it out so everyone recovers.
-When you save Rosa from the boulder in Golbez's castle, she's not under a boulder, but rather, a sickle.
