Himura Kenshin is an invincible swordsman, a Battousai who fought for the Meiji Era. He vanished after the war and swore not to kill another. He was not seen for the last ten years. He carries a Sakabatou, a sword that has an inverted blade so it couldn't kill anybody. He is now a wanderer, as the word "rurouni" means. He was welcomed to the Kamiya Dojo after saving Kaoru's life. He cooks, he babysits, he goes to the market, he even does the laundry! He's kind and gentle even though he was a Hitokiri before. Now he only fights to protect the people he cares for.
