Her mother decided it would not be beneficial to expose her young daughter to a convict father so she never told her about him at all. Her mother remarried when she was 3 and she was raised thinking her step-father was her real father and was adopted by him, renamed Azra Hodges. She has 3 1/2 brothers and a younger 1/2 sister and was a tomboy during childhood, the only girlish vanity she had was her music. She played by ear for years and was a poor student in school until she was diagnosed as dyslexic when she was 10. She despised her step-father because he always said she wasn't trying hard in school and was no good. In highschool she was in the orchestra and jazz band. Her grades had improved steadily since she had been diagnosed and received help with her dyslexia. When she was 16 she moved out of the house to get away from her father and tried to support herself while still going to highschool. It didn't work and she ended up dropping out of highschool and getting her GED. When she moved out her mother told her about her real father and she met him several months later for the first time. They don't have a father-daughter relationship but are quite close. She worked and rarely saw her family until she turned 18. When she did she enlisted in the navy and changed her name to Piccolo. She returned home just long enough to tell off her step-father permanantly, inform them that she had changed her name and say good bye to her siblings, whom she was somewhat close to. ![]() sticker on guitar case FAVORITE QUOTE: finger pickin' good -Brian Setzer |
