It's Not A Ship Without Some Tiffs Fiona walked down the hallway muttering to herself. "What did she say her name was? Damn it, she was a Ensign." Fiona sighed to herself and continued her search for the blond woman she had spoken harshly too. Walking carefully around a tight corner, she saw her. "Excuse me!" Fiona called out, the blonde turned and seemed to pale slightly. Fiona broke into a jog to catch up. "Look, Dandridge was it?" "Yeah. Kassi Dandridge. Um, yeah, look, right now's not a great time for me," Kassi said. "Yes, well, I've been looking all over the ship for you." Kassi seemed to cringe slightly. "I spoke to you quiet harshly, and I apologize for it." Fiona sighed and shuffled her feet. "I'm not to great at making first impressions am I?" "No, I mean, yes... God, I'm just having a bad day," Kassi said. "It's not you." "Again I apologize. I really meant no harm." "Thanks," Kassi said, turning away. Tears began to gather behind her eyes. "I'm going to take a look around the ship, you're welcome to come if you like." Fiona smiled hesitantly. "Thanks," Kassi said. "I've just had a really bad run-in with some chauvanist enlisted crew. I think I've seen enough of the ship for one day," she said. "That's really nice of you, I'll see you on the bridge, sometime." It had not gone unnoticed that the girl was upset. "Yes, I'll see you on the bridge." Kassi turned to walk away. "And Dand- Um Kassi, if you remember who those men were, let me know please." The slight dangerous undertone to her voice didn't go unheard by Kassi who's eyes widdened slightly. As she turned to speak to Fiona she realized the petite blond was standing exactly where she had been, her arms crossed over her chest, in a relaxed, yet annoyed stance. She gave her a brief smile that seemed to transform her face and turned to leave. "Oh and Kassi, if you ever want to talk for any reason, just come find me." With that she was gone. |
