It's Not A Ship Without the Arrogant Lt. Kassi opened up her mouth to say something, but Azra had moved on, and it would have been too late to say anything else to her, Kassi realized. She sighed as her line progressed. It doesn't matter which line I get in, mine's always the slowest, she thought. She tossed her hair off of her shoulders and stepped up to the officer standing at check in. He was young. And hot. His name tag said, "Lt. E. Diringer." She felt a little stupid, hunched over and ladened down with ten tons of bags. "Name? Miss?" he asked, sounding bored and irritated. "Um, Ensign Kassidy Dandridge," she said, shifting the weight of her bags. "Here's the pass. And please try to be more alert when you're on duty," he said. Kassi stepped away, turning red. What a jerk, she thought. |
