It's Not A Ship Without the Doc (Too Late Now) "Dr. Garrett?" "Yes, can I help you?" Brianna looked up from the paperwork she was finishing up on her desk. "I was sent to deliver this," the young man sat a file on the desk. "May I ask what this concerns?" "You requested assignment on a UEO ship. They've found a posting for you." "Thank you, will that be all?" "Yes, everything you need is in the file." "Thank you again for delivering this then," the young man who delivered the file took that as a dismissal and left. The doctor sighed and pulled the file toward her. She had finally decided that she'd outgrown her position here at the University and after some convincing from one of her friends she had contacted the UEO about a position. She still wasn't totally sure if this was the right thing but it looked like it was too late now.
Stepping out of the cab, Brianna grabbed her bags and approached the gate to the main dock. After showing her ID to the guard on duty she stepped through and got her first glimpse of the seaHawk. Pushing her glasses to the top of her head she raised an eyebrow as she took in the sight before her. The ship was definitely larger than she had thought, but then she didn't have a lot of personal experience to go by. Noticing the port through which the other crew was entering the boat she followed the crowd. It was definitely too late now to change her mind. |
