Straightening the Mess in Med-bay
MedBay was even more of a mess than the rest of the ship. People and boxes were everywhere as the staff tried to unpack without tripping over one another. They definitely needed help to get all of this straightened out. Putting two fingers in her mouth she whistled piercingly. The reaction was instantaneous, everyone stopped and stared at her. Pleased to see that it had worked she started, "Ok, everyone. Gather 'round. We're going to see if we can't get some organization going with this so that nothing gets broken or misplaced." *And hopefully someday I'll be able to actually get to my office,* she thought to herself. Quickly she began issuing orders to all the staff present and within minutes the place was looking a lot more organized and things were still getting done just as quickly. When she had finally managed to get to her office she'd found a whole stack of crew records to go over and make sure they were up to date. Most everyone had completely updated records, save a few individuals who's previous CMO's had obviously decided to allow her to complete the work they were due to update their files. She loved Doctors who had no qualms about pushing their work off on everyone else. She was still wading through the files and making a list of those who she needed to make appointments with for work, when a knock at the door interrupted her. Thoroughly annoyed she looked up and said, "Yes? Can I help you?" She looked up to see a man standing in the doorway without any sort of identification on him. He seemed well into his fifties, but still in fairly good shape. "Most certainly good, doctor. I'd like to make a request that we always be stocked with plenty of orange juice to spare during our time at sea; and that whenever we dock, we always replenish our supply." Dr. Garret sat there still trying to process just what was being asked of her. "Wha-...Why?" "It's good for the body, builds bones...and other assorted things I'm sure." All Dr. Garret could give the poor demented old man in return was a blank stare interrupted ever so frequently by a few blinks. "Yeah...I'll take that into consideration..." The man looked absolutely thrilled. "Thank you doctor. That will be all." He nodded, about faced and left. "Note to self," Dr. Garret said into her mental tape recorder, "conveniently forget and reprioritize asinine requests made by the crew." Note from archivist-- shortly after this post, Chaz and Nichole had to leave the RPG, unfortunately. Eleni took over their parts, temporarily, until Jason and Heidiree came along, later. |
