Step 1: Register to take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)

Is a 3.5 GPA from a small community college better than a 3.0 GPA from an Ivy Leage university?

Is a 4.0 GPA in Basket Weaving better than a 3.3 GPA in Quantum Physics?

Unfortunately there is no way to be certain. Taking a standardized test is the only way around this difficult problem. The Law School Admission Council developed the Law School Admission Test. This test is designed to predict sucess that a student will have in his or her first year of law school.

The best time to take the LSAT is June before your senior year. Tests are also administered in October, December, and February. The cost is $96. Register early or you will have to pay a $54 dollar late fee! Register for the LSAT here.
