BRAVES DEFEAT TAFT IN SEASON FINALE

TEHACHAPI NEWS -- Led behind the throwing arm of Bobby Sharp, the Braves closed out their season with an impressive 21-7 victory over Taft last Friday at home.
 
Sharp went 9-11 for 153 yards, throwing three touchdown passes to Skylar Valencia, Steven Cross and Dakota Medovitch in the victory.
 
Valencia had 77 yards on 17 carries and two receptions for 57 yards, while Isaiah Hutto had 42 yards on 11 carries and Cross had 35 yards on five carries and three catches for 32 yards.
 
Other offensive highlights came from Tyler Kroeger, who had two catches for 35 yards and Medovitch two receptions for 29 yards. Connor O’Neal also connected on an extra point and Valencia had a two-point run.
 
On defense, Logan Soto led the team with seven tackles, followed by Chris Rhodes with six tackles and Nathan Evans, Matt Root, Jerry Castaneda, Sean Casey, Trey Abarquez, Donovan Bruce, Sharp, Cross and Medovitch with multiple tackle nights.
