FALLEN RECORDS Strauss and Knudson shatter three single game marks

If you're not quite sure what to make of this season, you're not alone.

One thing is for sure, this has got to be the greatest amount of positive buzz surrounding a team that is sporting a 3-4 record in the history of Tehachapi football.

I personally like to look at the positives....and with the Warriors there's plenty to stew over.  As far as the record goes, I'm sure as the season winds down Mountain Football will do their best to get back on track...as they always do.

But the positives.  First...in last season's 12-1 title year, do you remember what game that loss was in?  Homecoming.

We'll that lone downer in 2007 was avenged this season. The spirit of the VW Bug reigned supreme in 2008 with a 41-0 victory over Shafter.  So...we can rest proud that no matter what happens in league from here-on-out, homecoming was won.  (Hopefully there are more victories to come, of course.)

Then, there are the individual achievements.

First, we have Josh Strauss, who has had a stellar senior campaign that now has him with the most rushing yards in a single game (304) and the most receiving yards in a single game (203) in the history of Mountain Football.  Pretty impressive.

Couple that great rock throwing of Kurtis Knudson, who now has the distinction of the most passing yards in a single game with 305 on 11 completions against Bakersfield Christian, there is still plenty of motivation to finish strong the rest of the year.

Sometimes, silver linings to a shaky, injury laden season can turn into team gold.

Kudos to the Warriors for playing hard and facing adversity head on...keep fighting the rest of the way...and keep your heads up!

Hit and Fly!
