SWE Minutes from 4-4-05

Upcoming Events
-Girl Scouts and NSBE activity continues, 5 weekends starting in April
-WEST Evaluations, 4-11 during the meeting
-Prof Dinner, evening 4-13
-Prefrosh Weekend girls bash, 4-17 @ 10 pm to 12 am
-SWE elections, 4-18 during the meeting
-out to dinner for the last meeting, 5-2?

Post-WEST Sleepover
-sleepover was fun
-recounted it for a bit
-asked if there was anything ppl want to change about it, no suggestions

WEST Evaluations
-didn't get to these during sleepover
-will do it as part of the meeting next week
-will print them out and have people tally them up

Final Meeting
-there are four meetings left, not including presentation week
-Bassman would be okay with taking us out to dinner during presentation week
-possibly Monday, 4-11

Girl Scouts
-Tia, Gena, and Jamie Schoffeit did the Girl Scouts activity this weekend
-there were fewer girls than helpers, but it was fun
-did projects that would introduce girls to math and science
-will continue to help out in the future
-completely volunteering since we agreed to give our money to NSBE

Underwear
-Victoria's Secret may have a problem with us reselling their underwear, so we may have to buy them from the stores (rather than online) or buy another brand
-tell Shawna to contact them about our being a nonprofit group

Elections
-SWE elections will be April 18 during the meeting
-all positions will be available: co-presidents, vice president, secretary, corporate liaison, faculty liaison, historian/publicist, treasurer

Prof Dinner with Sarah Harris
-one more prof dinner this year, with S. Harris
-will be a Weds evening, people would prefer the 13th
-Tracy, Tia, Gena, Lindsay Wray, Leslie, and Kristina are interested
-Kristina says that if there are too many ppl she can opt out
-need to check on clinic van for that evening

Pre-Frosh Weekend
-printing pretty invitations to go in students' folders
-got the list of food, need to order it
-Ramona hasn't called back
-Maehta will set up TV, karaoke
-bean bags, spoons, need decks of cards
-it'd be great if everyone came Sunday the 17th, 10pm-12am
-no other structured activities during that time
-how much food?
-RSVPs for Mudders?
-invite faculty? yes
-Bassman will go to the registrar's to get a list of female email addresses
