-she's our friend as our counselor and can help us with whatever we want
-can help with resumes, mentoring, learning about companies, moving on with SWE
-said it's okay that our section have two presidents and report as one each semester, but national SWE may dislike getting a new annual report every six months
-suggested one president and multiple vice presidents
-suggested writing our section's own bylaws (Jamie suggested to me that we look at our club charter)

WEST
-coming up (March 5, 2005)
-checked on if we've heard back from any more profs about the workshops

-shirts for WEST: Sara showed a sample of last year's, we will get a new color this year (We've had red for two years.) Several suggestions for colors—we'll look up what colors the company offers and resume the debate later.

Top Ten Tees
-We have about 30 left
-can still sell them if ppl approach us, but will keep them for selling later or giving away

Paul Jones: college/corporate relations
-He's trying to get companies to sponsor WEST
-He's looking for speakers for club meetings etc.
-shadowing program: members go and follow a professional around for a day
-Asked which companies we were interested in for speakers and shadowing: Catherine has a complete list, but some of the companies members expressed interest in (off the list from Paul Jones) were The Aerospace Co., Applied Biosystems, Boeing, Google, Honeywell, Medtronic MiniMed, JPL, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, SoCal Edison, and UVP; suggestions for the Nissan plant in San Diego, and biology stuff
-further suggestions for companies are welcome
-Also wondered if people would be interested in shadowing for a distant company—overwhelming yes, if they will pay for it
