Prof Dinner
-reread list of people signed up for prof dinner with Martinosi
-no one will cancel, SWE can pay for Sana (the prefrosh) to come along
-everyone is still available to go
-Lindsay will send out a reminder
Winter Break Trip
-will most likely be the Thurs and Fri before school starts
-Mudd conference will be that Saturday
-all details will be finalized by the Monday before Tgiving
-Amgen, QUALCOMM, and Medtronic
Upcoming Site Visits
-Boeing site visit 11-18: some interest
-Southern California Edison 12-2: no real interest
Opportunity Day
-this Thursday 11-17 @ 4:30 pm to 8:15 pm, dinner @6:45 pm to 8:15 pm
-need lots of SWE people to go to dinner
-can fill out the form and choose who you want to sit with from a list of companies
-small commitment and very important to the companies
-get friends to go
-need 10 people as absolute minimum, can list to 5 choices
-Jamie can email the form and company information to anyone interested
-dress business casual
-return forms to Jamie by Wednesday
WEST Profs
-Need a list of professors to do workshops for WEST and students to be their liaisons
-Biology: Ahn, Bechtel, McFadden, and Williams
Williams did it last year-- before, Ahn and Adolf did it
Make Williams first choice: Lindsay will be the contact
-Chemistry: Baker and Karukstis (Ivey no longer here)
Bassman knows a chem post-doc at Pomona if can't find someone
Logan would be great! Mention that to Baker and see what she thinks.

-Computer Science: Alvarado, O'Neill, Sweedyk, and Thom
Make Alvarado first choice, Mackenzie will contact
-Math: dePillis, Gu, Ward, Martinosi, and Nanda
Ward did it last year and it was good, but said someone else/new should do it if they want to (meant Martinosi)

-Physics: Chen, Esin, Hoeling, and Sparks

-Engineering: Bassman, Cardenas, Orwin, Yang, S. Harris, and Lape
Bassman could do it, but says hers are always just okay—can help someone else

-should email all the women we want first to see if they'd be willing to do it

-people from SWE helped out at YBS

WEST Keynote Speaker
-found Jill Tietjen at SWE National Conference, and she agreed to be our speaker
-environmental engineer, community leader, and business professional
-researches great women in history
Dinner with Seminar Speaker
-Mackenzie, Alice, Sheri, Cassy, Lindsay, Jamie, and Gena are signed up
-dinner will be right after the seminar
