-sign in for attendance on sheet that's going around
-hope we can keep the Mudd PDR as our new meeting room, Mondays @ 6:15 pm
-Miss SWE pageant last Thursday went well, thanks for help, get receipts to Tia
-National SWE Conference this week (Thurs-Sat), meeting tonight @9 in Case lounge

YBS Day
-Young Black Scholars day this Saturday @ 8am to 1 pm
-still need SWE volunteers
-will interact with highschool students in the LA area
-will do marble project in the LAC, tour campus, see Prof. Benjamin
-SWE gets paid for people to volunteer
-If you are interested, go to the meeting on Thursday @ noon in East PDR in Platt or talk to Blanch Pringle.

Opportunity Day
-Thursday 11-17 @ 4:30 pm to 8 pm
-4:30 to 5:45 Panel Discussion and Q&A
-5:45 to 6:45 Corporate Sponsors will be tableing
-7:00 to 8:00 dinner with corporate sponsors open to SWE, NSBE, SHP, corporate scholars, and SI
-for dinner, can list preference of company to sit wth beforehand
-Jamie got names or number of people interested in the dinner

Site Visits
-Coporate office has been cancelling site visits for lack of people
-could people come back 2-3 days early from winter vacation to go on site visits?
-some interest, plane ticket issue
-Note: will be opening residence halls early for students this year for a Mudd anniversary conference
-Note: Paul Jones will be resigning tomorrow, so will be dealing with someone else at corporate relations
-NSBE suggested a trip the Thurs or Fri after school starts again, no real interest
-update on this next week

WEST: Ideas for Keynote Speaker
-What's popular with highschool students?
-women most respresented in biomedical and environmental engineering, so could focus on that
-mainly need a good speaker
-could get ideas from SWE Conference
-could ask faculty members
-probably environmental since last year (and same speaker next year!) was biomedical

Dinner with Qualcomm Speaker
-next week, Weds the 16th
-woman who knows Mudd (husband an active alumn)
-seminar will be on wireless communication probably
-"catered" food
-sign up sheet went around

-dinner with Martinosi 11-10: meet @6, dinner @6:30 at the Elephant Bar
-dinner with Goroff 11-30 also meet @6, dinner @ 6:30
