-visiting with Mudd alum Alicia Sparks, Monday 10-18
-Group bonding: bowling alley tour and bowling, Friday afternoon of 10-22
-tour of Northrop Grumman, Weds. 11-3 at 4-7 pm in El Segundo
-Miss SWE, Thurs. 11-4
-speaking skills workshop(s) sometime, poss. before meetings

"Top Ten Reasons" Tees:
-Sara made a new design, correcting the math, adding pi back in as the ratio, and taking out #3
-some debate over the missing #3
-If anyone has a good idea for #3, email Sara or Catherine ASAP

Group Bonding:
-Cassie was not there for the update on the bowling alley tour etc

Alicia Sparks:
-Kristina says Alicia Sparks, a Mudd alum, will be in town Monday the 18th through Wednesday, easiest time to meet on Monday evening
-dinner on Monday: clinic van or walk down to the village
-6 people seemed interested
-Alice will email swe-l and see if other people are interested
-Catherine will email Alicia and interested people about details later

womens-support-l:
-consists of a lot of woman faculty and some students
-lunch every Weds
-email listkeeper with “subscribe womens-support-l” in the body
-Prof. Anh in Bio organizes it, so email her with questions

Speaking Skills Workshop:
-Lily says Claudia came last time to talk, and can do workshops
-more interest in short sessions during or along with the meetings
-a fair amount of people would be willing to meet at 5:30 (before meeting), assuming 30 min. is enough
-Sara will talk to her

Northrop Grumman tour:
-invitation from SWE L.A. to go on tour Weds Nov 3rd 4-7 pm in El Segundo
-Kristina says dinner is usually provided
-Need to know by Monday the 25th
-email Lily if you are interested with drivers license and expiration date for preliminary info
-we should reserve a Mudd van or figure out who’s driving
-Lindsay Muth will talk to Dean Chris about the Mudd van

Miss SWE Pageant:
-asked people to ask woman engineer profs to be judges (Yang says yes so far)
-can’t get Green Room bc Career Services, but will ask them about it
-Jamie will see about using the Sontag lounge is Lily finds we can’t use the Green Room
-Alice will email for guys to compete
-Sara will ask Gwen about making poster and flyers
-Teresa is willing to help with posters and stuff, too
-food: pizza, soda, lemonade, Domino’s or Papa Jon’s (whoever has the better price)
-need prizes for winner, runners-up, and anyone else who competes
-may want to cap guys competing at 15, but wait to see how many are interested
