National Labs Night
-National Labs and PCAC meetings went well
-hope to see some sponsor money from the participation

Prof Dinners
-dinner with Prof. Lape at The Press last Thursday was fun
-waiting for date with Dean Goroff, should sign up

Trips
-still hoping to go on trips during and after fall break
-if anyone wants to go on any of these, fill out the emailed form
-may not have had enough people return the forms so may cancel Bay Area trip
-Teresa thinks it's still on bc she got an email today about joining up with the group for one of the tours

Congratulations
-Sarah al-Beaini won a scholarship from SWE!

Miss SWE
-will be October 27, setup @ 5:30, doors @ 6:30, pageant @ 7:15 to 9:15
-some people already signed up to help out at the last meeting
-Alice has gotten four replies for contestants; tell your guy friends to sign up!
-Nat will deal with getting AV stuff
-Is the big room in Platt an okay place to do it? Could we move furniture?
-Bassman like the Green room better than the place before that because it was smaller (more intimate, fun being packed in, more like a show)
-will see what Platt looks like with the furniture rearranged
-will reserve both big Platt room and Green room and cancel one when we decide
-Laurel will make Miss SWE sash and buy a crown
-Cassy, Monica, Natasha, and Lucy will buy prizes for contestants and gifts for judges and Deren
-Laurel, Sheri, Monica, and Natt will be bouncers
-Sarah, Sara, Monica, and Natt will collect cash at the door
-will stay with 5$ not cross-dressed, $3 cross-dressed (made money last year, but just barely)
-clean up: Mackenzie, Alice, Tia, Jowene, Rosia, Jamie, and Gena will clean up afterwards
-Jowene still looking for the red carpet (in storage somewhere)
-posters should go up a week beforehand, Jowene has help
-should advertise that Deren Finks will be the MC
-Deren may be meeting with us about the pageant
-came up with questions for Miss SWE: some favorites from before, tossed out some bad ones, came up with new ones, and decided to give old good ones a break for at least a year
