-Envelope stuffing party for WEST, Thursday 1-26 @5:30 pm
-WEST task assignment meeting, Monday 1-30 @6:00 pm
-Dessert social, 2-3 @ 4:00 pm
-Tutoring at Peppertree Elementary, Friday afternoons throughout the semester

-Site visits to Medtronic, Qualcomm, and poss. Amgen, 3-17

Dessert Social
-SWE has a dessert social every spring to welcome newly declared engineers
-February 3rd (Feb 10th considered, but blood drive on that day)
-Engineering lounge (better than Green Room)
-4 pm to 5 pm
-Monica will buy sweets (from Trader Joe's and/or Marie Callendar's), Mackenzie will help
-could tell profs that they can bake their own desserts of they would like
-compile list of all girls in E80 and E4 or just send email to all of the students in those classes? Last year we did all students (male and female), will do the same this year
-Alice will send the email to E4 and sophomore engineers
-Alice can ask E4 profs before using the list

WEST envelope stuffing
-some prefer Thursday to Friday
-will be this Thursday at 5:30 pm
-will have pizza
-Tia will order the pizza
-movie suggestions: Clueless, Bride and Prejudice, Wedding Crashers, The Notebook
-will bring a lot of movies from the LAC

Tutoring
-will try to start up tutoring at the elementary school this semester
-can be after school on weekdays

-Friday looks good, Monday looks okay -will plan on Friday
-will be going this Thursday to meet with the principal of the school for a briefing at 12 to 1 pm
-anyone interested in tutoring who wants to meet him can come along
-will send an email reminder about the meeting

Awards
-We got the Career Guidance award this year for the WEST conference!
-We got a student membership increase award for our 140% increase in student membership in National SWE!

WEST
-at next week's meeting we will be divvying up tasks for WEST
-Bassman will help Lape with her workshop unless enough people attend that we want five engineering workshops
-will email swe-l asking for people to volunteer for WEST even if they can't make the meeting
-could email E4 girls asking if they want to help with WEST

Faculty Liason Stuff
-lunch with Yang, Thursdays at 12-1 pm are good for her, Lindsay got interested names, no suggestions for place
-can get in touch with the new president and see about having lunch with us if she's around, or just to say welcome

Other
-Tia made a new website for SWE, isn't up yet but she will let us know when there's an address
