Surtur started out when Caleb picked up
drumming several years ago, and he met up with Vlad who was already playing guitar
for some time. They jammed for a while, and were later on joined by Dean
on lead guitar, and Curt on bass duties. The current lineup was complete when Bill
joined on vocals. The band played under several names, most notably Vurdalak
and Lament Gone. They also played many different styles, ranging from hard rock
to death metal. While growing musically, the lyrics now encompass a great deal
of history and folklore from around the world, all while unleashing a blazing
assault on the senses! |
