These people or groups are the most important because they say or think they are. The selections are followed by a brief summary of their accomplishments.
1. Mayor James Perkins - Important because he says that he holds the key to our City's success. Someone help him find the right key.
2. Council President George Evans - Important because he is capable of making several decisions about the same problem and coming up with no answers.
3. Crenshaw Five/Block - Important because of their ability to give blind allegiance to the Mayor and each other without regard for the citizens.
4. Billy Atchison - Important because the Mayor considers him a member of law enforcement and has the ability to throw around Alabama Power Company money like it is his.
5. Members of Trustbuild - Important because they can turn their heads on the citizens of Selma and receive City pay for running the Mayor's next campaign.
6. Francis Cole - Important because she has the ability to talk about anything, any day, any length of time, and has no idea what she's saying or what she means.

8. Larry Striplin - Important because he managed to convince gullible Selmians a $600,000.00 tract of land is worth $1,000,000.00 and is putting the St James back on the City taxpayers.
9. Rose Toure Sanders - Important because her husband has an inexhaustable supply of taxpayer money to give to her private enterprises and made-up tax shelters.
10. J L Chestnut - Important because he feels unity means everyone must see his point of view, no matter how radical or racial.
