LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES BY POLICE CHIEF JIMMY MARTIN AND MAYOR JAMES PERKINS

Why did Selma have to have an unadulterated liar for our Police Chief? Why does Mayor Perkins keep a known prevaricator as head of our more important City department?
We refer to the recent crime statistics that Jimmy Martin recently gave to the Selma Times-Journal. Because he is so imcompetent that he can not do anything about the out of control crime in Selma, Martin must think he can "just lie crime away" by putting out false information about crime in the City.
The chart below shows the actual crime situation in Selma. Contrast it with the lies Martin told the Times-Journal.

ANY FOOL CAN SEE HOW MARTIN LIED. ALABAMA LAW REQUIRES THE CITY TO REPORT CRIME FIGURES TO THE ALABAMA CENTER FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE! Surely Martin would not lie - or would he - to a state agency!!!
IF YOU COMPARE the figures given to the State by Martin for 2005 with the numbers he gave to the Times-Journal for 2006. YOU CAN READILY SEE THAT CRIME WAS UP IN SELMA IN 2006 - NOT DOWN as Martin and Perkins want people to believe.
