PERKINS, JEFFERSON AND LAWLESSNESS
10-27-11

If anyone wonders why so many young people in Selma between the ages of 16 and 25 are criminals, they only have to look at the example for young people that James Perkins, Jr., Donald Jefferson, Henry Hicks, the Bishop of Funk, Franklin Fortier, and HATE RADIO 105.3 have set in the past week. Make no mistake about, the saga surrounding the Selma School Superintendent has little to do with Jefferson and all to do with the mayoral campaign of James Perkins, Jr. Were it not for Perkins involvement and that of his lawyer friend, Terry Davis, this matter could have been settled long ago. Perkins believes that if it continues on, it can only help his election chances next August.

As for Jefferson, he should never have been hired and should be terminated. He clearly broke the law when he executed a contract and spent money without the Board’s approval. No school superintendent can unilaterally make a contract. EVERY contract must be approved by the Board. The straw that broke the camel’s back was us was when the Board in September VOTED NOT to renew the contract with STI Services and JEFFERSON WENT RIGHT ON WITH THE CONTRACT AND SERVICES. That is arrogant lawlessness and a sorry example for the children, who are being unmercifully used by this cabal of lawlessness. The Board also has other reasons for terminating Jefferson, but these are sufficient for us.

We see what kind of men Jefferson and Henry Hicks, the most unqualified person ever elected to any public office in Selma, are with their complete disregard for the rule of law. Hicks is so incompetent that he thinks he can negate the actions of the Board in a lawfully called meeting over which he presided (the one where Jefferson was put on administrative leave). The utter disregard for order and protocol was evident when Jefferson and Hicks went the Board office on Wednesday and acted LIKE TWO TIN HORNED DICTATORS IN SOME THIRD WORLD BANANA REPUBLIC.

We strongly urge the Board to remove Jefferson. It may save the city school system from financial ruin and may prevent the city from being subjected to more years of Perkins as Mayor. Anyone who can not see how the city rapidly declined from 2000-2008 is blind to reality. We have repeatedly said and sincerely believe that Jefferson will either bankrupt the school system or have to have taxes raised to cover his expenditures.

We would be remiss if we did not give the Bishop of Funk, Fortier, and Hate Radio 105.3 credit for much of the criminal activity in Selma. Since Fortier came to town in 2004, he has REPEATEDLY TRIED TO INCITE A RIOT IN THE STREETS. If you listen carefully to his rhetoric, you will understand that he is a Marxist anarchist, who was born out of time and missed the movement, and wants to recreate it on our streets today. We hope that not many people are being deceived by Fortier, Leashore and the HATE they spew on the airwaves!

ON ANOTHER NOTE, Rose Sanders and her motley mob of malcontents continue to protest the absence of a black registrar in Dallas County. Had Rose taken the time to talk to anyone involved in the appointment process, INSTEAD OF ACTING OUT HER WINNIE FANTACIES, she would have known that it was always the plan to appoint one black to the Board. That announcement will be made any day. OF COURSE, it won’t be a black that Rose wants, so we will see if her real motive was to get any black appointed or to get another incompetent like Synethia Perkins Pettaway appointed.

We do want to keep this fact in the minds of the people of Selma and Dallas County that both Rose Sanders and Synethia Perkins Pettway, who talk so much about voting rights, are actually law breakers as far as voting is concerned. While continuing to live in the COUNTY at 1 Imani Way, Rose continues to list her voting place as a house on Water Avenue so she can vote in the CITY. This is morally wrong as well as being illegal. SYENTHIA PERKINS PETTAWAY DID THE SAME THING. When she and her husband, Collins Pettaway, candidate for Judge, lived in the COUNTY, Synethia continued to list her voting residence at her father’s address, on St. Phillips Street, so she could vote in CITY elections. This is morally wrong and illegal. The interesting thing is that while these two heroines of voting rights were/are breaking the law, their husbands voted in the COUNTY where they should have voted! It doesn’t matter to us who is on the Board of Registrars as long as Synethia Pettaway, whose main claim to fame was trying to register convicted felons, is gone!

Finally, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? Collins Pettaway, husband of Synethia and brother-in-law of James Perkins, Jr., is running for Circuit Judge in the Democrat Primary next March. For a reason that defies understanding, Pettaway has been allowed to remain as the attorney for the Selma Water Board. The City Council appoints the members of the Water Board. Pettaway is the attorney suing the City of Selma on behalf of one of his relatives. CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO US WHY HE IS STILL THE ATTORNEY FOR A BOARD APPOINTED BY THE CITY WHILE HE IS SUING THE CITY?
