PERKINS ILLEGALLY USES CITY WORKERS TO PROMOTE POLITICAL AGENDA...CITY WORKERS SHOULD BE FIRED

The Mayor's Executive Assistant, Darlene Rudulph, Public Works Director Henry Hicks, and every city employee who put the Mayor's political materials in the garbage can lids of residents in Ward 1 and 2 on Monday, should be fired immediately. This is a flagrant misuse of city workers on city time to promote the Mayor's re-election political agenda!
The flyer announces a city wide meeting to promote a new conference center, movie theatre, sidewalks, etc. to be discussed at a public meeting Thursday at the Convention Center. What the flyer does not mention is that all of this comes with a $4 MILLION DOLLAR INCREASE IN PROPERTY TAXES on the 52% of Selma residents who own property. This is NOT the time to raises taxes in Selma as people consider whether to move or stay here.
Perkins has been in office 7 years. Now with the election up coming, which he could easily lose if it is not stolen, he comes up with grandiose schemes to buy votes. Call your council member and tell him or her to oppose this INCREASE IN PROPERTY TAXES! ASK THEM TO GET ALL OF THE CITY EMPLOYEES INVOLVED IN THIS ILLEGAL SCHEME FIRED!
