THAT EX-Mayor James Perkins, Jr. is using Ebenezer Baptist Church as his campaign headquarters for the 2012 mayoral election! SEE THAT PAGE THAT FOLLOWS THIS ARTICLE. A few weeks ago, this was distributed at Perkin's church in an obvious effort to make people think he is being "drafted" by the people to run. What a farce and to use the church to pass this out and solicit donations for his political campaign!! We wonder what the IRS would do if something this political was done at a conservative church in Selma. We hope that Mayor Evans will finally do something about all the Perkins people who are running the day to day operations of city government, who are not his friends, and who will do all they can to help Perkins become Mayor again. One thing we do know, that when Perkins became Mayor, there was a $2 million surplus int he General Fund and when he left 8 years later, there was a $740,000 deficit.
THAT Bennie Ruthless Crenshaw and her friends at the Freedom Foundation/Selma Community Church/House of God cult would pull a publicity stunt at the National League of Cities convention in Denver to embarrass the city of Selma and Mayor Evans, who was in attendance. Ruthless and her Freedom Foundation cult friends in Selma and in the Denver suburb of Colorado, decided to have some of their members stage a demonstration at the League meeting and pass out leaflets about the "racism" that exists in Selma. As usual, this centered around Dr. Williamson being council president and attending the Friends of Forrest Birthday celebration in July WHILE THE CITY WAS PAYING $115 AN HOUR FOR Ruthless to be in a seminar, SHE WAS ON THE PHONE WITH HER COHORTS LEASHORE AND PERKINS ON HATE RADIO 105.3 TELLING THEM ABOUT THE DEMONSTRATION IN DENVER. With people like Ruthless and the CULT in cahoots embarrassing HER own city, does anyone wonder why there are no JOBS here?
THAT inquiries are already being received from Peachtree City, Georgia, where Mark Duke and Shawn Sameulson moved, about the "polygamous" cult which has come to their city. Apparently, Peachtree City is not ready for communal living. We remember how harmless Duke and Minister Gwen Brown were when they first came to Selma with ready silly radio show. In fact, the first time we ever saw Mark Duke he was eating at the SELMA COUNTRY CLUB with a local realtor. Duke and Gwen talked about being Republican and were just as harmless as doves. Then they became involved in Selma politics by openly supporting Mayor Perkins in the recent election, and since then, it has been downhill for them in the public eye. Now they are reduced to being on HATE RADIO 105.3,HAVE NO SUPPORT IN THE WHITE COMMUNITY AND VERY LITTLE IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY, and are moving in and out of town. People in Selma are just not ready for the kind of Jesus-denying doctrine they teach and their association with the HATE RADIO 105.3 crowd.
HATE RADIO 105.3 continues to be the voice of strife, division, animosity, and hate int he community. It is interesting to us that each program has the same few callers who appear to have no work to do and spend their day calling radio programs. The sooner HATE RADIO leaves Selma, the sooner the town will prosper and come together.
