$700,000 IN UNPAID GARBAGE FEES AND MORE INCOMPETENCE IN THE PERKINS CITY HALL

More than $700,000 is owed the city in unpaid garbage fees while the city tries to find $10,000 to give to the Drug Task Force to combat Selma's worst problem, drugs. Although the city can't seem to find money to fight drugs, and the police department does not even have a Narcotics unit, Perkins was able to find the money to pay his friend, Glenda Deese, $50.00 AN HOUR as a consultant for the police department. This was nothing but a rip-off of the taxpayers!
Following this article is one person's garbage bill that shows an amount due of $328.00. WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT THIS PERSON HAS NOT PAID HER GARBAGE BILL IN TWO YEARS, YET THE CITY CONTINUES TO PICK UP HER GARBAGE!! Although we include the address on this bill, decency prevents us from using the person's name, which does appear on the bill.
The reason Perkins and his administration do nothing to collect this $700,000 in past due bills is because these deadbeats who do not pay their bills ARE THE PEOPLE WHO (1) THINK GOVERNMENT OWES THEM SOMETHING AND EVERYTHING IS FREE AND (2) THEY VOTE FOR PERKINS, LIKE THEY ARE TOLD. So while the city has a cash flow problem, hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid garbage fees are uncollected.
HOW DID WE GET A COPY OF THIS PAST DUE BILL? MORE INCOMPETENCE IN THE PERKINS CITY HALL! This bill was actually attached to our garbage bill. We received this bill and our bill in our mailbox. What incompetence in city hall!!!
Mayor Perkins, when you and Darlene get back from Washington, how about try to find out what incompetent mailed this bill to us.
