Perkins vs Evans?

This website has been informed by a friend of Mr George Evans that he has met with bankers, a public utility manager, and other business people to ask for support when he runs for the mayor's office in 2008.
This website believes that political preparations should be made far in advance of mayoral election because of the intimidation and political machine the present mayor has generated with city taxpayer money.
This website feels that while it is somewhat premature to speculate an outcome, alliances are being made. So we feel a good hard look at both candidates would be in order.
Mayor James Perkins Jr
*Believes in restricting public information
*Refuses to take steps crucial to lowering crime
*Caters to upper classes
*Plays the race card when convenient to shift responsibility
*Literally failed all audits since 2000
*Disasterous re-engineering stratagies
*Deficits in the budgets of over $3,000,000
*Believes social programs are the answer to poverty
*Mass exodus of citizens for work and crime escape
*Disagree with him, you are the enemy
*Does not believe that number of police officers or morale are important to reducing crime
*Not important to have city attorney that can represent city in federal court
*Does not understand division in city denies avenue to move forward
*Believes trips out of city are more important than problems in the city
*Believes working Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week is sufficient for total entitlements from city taxpayers of over $100,000 each year
*Believes he runs council instead of being an invited guest
*Believes lawsuits against city are caused by Citizens, not him
*Believes lawsuits are a way of life- as long as the taxpayer, not him, is paying the legal fees.
*Believes the sooner those who disagree with him leave, the better off the city will be
*Believes making people fear for their job the proper way to supervise
*Believes threatening and pressuring people will gain their respect
*Believes Bureau of Labor Statistics is wrong reporting 9.8% unemployment in Selma/Dallas County
*Believes his figure of 6.8% is correct
*Believes honesty in voting only applies to other candidates
This website could continue to list prolems the citizens are having with this mayor but must address the other candidate.
President George Evans
*Voted 98% in favor of all plans mayor brought before council and allowed mayor to take over council meetings
*This website feels for these two reasons alone Mr Evans should be scrutinized very carefully as to his ability to lead this city forward
*Mayor James Perkins Jr has twisted, turned, and divided this city and President George Evans has allowed it to happen
Which one? A toss up with noone to catch. We feel if there is a change to come, we should change to someone who doesn't bow and fold under pressure.
