Bond Money At Work
11-13-07

Notice Perkins says nothing in his Bond Issue about raising police pay or increasing the number of officers.

Notice that the Bond representative stated in the STJ that all bond items will be listed on the ballot; not that 5 members of the Council could divert this money to another project, such as 'supplementing the General Fund'.

Point of interest. After the first of the year, Public Works will be moving to the old All Lock building. The roof has caved in and it has been gutted of copper and electrical wire. A source in City government said that the repairs were going to be done through the Bond Issue money. We re-checked the Bond Issue. Restoration of the old All Lock is not on the list. Proves our point about shifting money after Issue is passed.

A source in the City has informed this website that the City dump will not be moved behind the old All Lock. Only a few acres are not in flood zones. So much for Perkins trying to push the EPA and ADEM. He knew this before hand but thought he could bully them the way he's bullied the people in Selma.

Notice the article in the Montgomery Advertiser. The City of Montgomery has very little bond loan capacity left to aid in economic development. If the Mayor gets his wish, we will have NO bond money for ANYTHING..NOT EVEN EMERGENCIES!!

Notice the "technology" the Mayor wants with the new system in the SPD. Just a word of caution. As paranoid as the Mayor is, with a city-wide camera system and a computer tech that answers only to him..what do YOU think he will have the tech doing? Rest assured he will not sit in a room all day and watch for law breakers and such. The Mayor will have him watching PEOPLE. Do you think the Mayor will have any problem with "his" tech zooming into your house window while you walk around in your bath towel or zooming into personal life to see who your friends with, where you meet them, how long to talk to them, what you are looking at and may be talking about? With a fully qualified tech at his beckon call, do you think he will have any problem asking the tech, who sits at computers all day, to try to hack your email if he doesn't trust you? And guess what, the Mayor doesn't trust ANYONE. See where we are going with this?

This is nothing more than the taxpayers giving him the money to play spy games and a re-election fund with no strings attached.
