KOK FOOK Tan is a new, up and coming artist who hails from Tg. Karang, a place renowned for its lush paddy fields and charming fishermen villages. He has learned to paint since 8 and continues to do so to this day. Kok Fook is partial to oil pastel, which is often applied to his mixed media paintings. He likes playing with colours and surfaces to represent his feelings and emotions. It is in his belief that painted art is a way for a person to express oneself. A personˇ¦s art usually reaches out to its audience, who in turn can tell what is on the artistˇ¦s mind.
