Last weekend, the Gion Festival hit Kyoto, and over 200,000 tourists stormed the city. It's the biggest festival in Japan and one of the hottest!!! We had a good -- albeight sweaty -- time wandering the streets and admiring the hokos (portable shrines) and folks wearing yukata (summer kimono).
