Who We Are
Delta Psi Upsilon is a multi-cultural service and social sorority founded at George Mason University in 2004 by a group of six very diverse young ladies. Our primary goal is to devote a significant amount of time to bettering our community. However, we also firmly believe that socializing strengthens sisterhood so the social aspect of our sorority will never be overlooked.
How It All Began
Our sisterhood began during the Fall 2004 semester at George Mason University. In the beginning, we hadn't set out to start our own sorority. Our goal was to start a chapter of an existing multi-cultural sorority and bring diversity into our campus's Greek life. However, due to differences in expectations (among other things), we decided not to pursue that particular sorority. After talking about it and thinking it over, we decided to start our own sorority from the ground up. After what seemed like ages of planning, considering, and ironing out details.......Delta Psi Upsilon Multi-Cultural Sorority was born.
Our Mission Statement
"Stand for something, or you'll fall for anything."
Delta Psi Upsilon stands for the emporwement of women, multi-culuralism, and service to our community. We strive everyday to live up to our principles and to put them into action.
