This is what Chinese food (the grease) has done to our kitchen fan. This really makes me wonder what Chinese food is doing to my arteries!!! ;)

This is the, for the lack of proper terminology, 'shoe closet,' which houses my shoes once I enter the school building (you have to take your shoes off and change into 'indoor shoes' when you go inside). So anyway, my shoe closet was tacked with a red ribbon to welcome me to the new school. It was really nice to be welcomed in such a warm way: the red ribbon, a potted plant, a nice letter, and such warm and friendly smiles. I think that I'm going to be really happy at this school!

A classroom is a classroom, right? I took a mini tour of my new school and took a bunch of pics today...

This way.

I found this lonesome flower sunbathing in a classroom windowsill all by itself this afternoon. The mid-afternoon sun gave me the perfect lighting for the shot. Isn't it a pretty flower?

Japanese erasers! The coolest thing that I can say about chalkboard erasers is that the kids are responsible for making sure that the chalkboard is clean before class starts... and that's about it! ha

Lots of colors of chalk in the classrooms here, which is something that makes up for the lack of color (expression) in the classroom! ;)

Farah doesn't care much for my hair when it is buzzed and lately I have been telling her that I want to shave my head again. She has made it quite clear that she wishes that I do not shave my head again for some time, and being the defiant, bad boy that I am, while she was at the store today, I did it! I shaved my head!!! Sorry, Farah! :) And this was to take away some of the initial shock--my hair in a bag with an apology note--and a poor attempt at making the light of a hairy situation. haha Farah laughed but frowned at me when she saw my head... but it's okay! We laughed together and I think that she'll forgive me in time...
