She is born on September 20, 1976. Her blood type is B, with a height of 1.55 m tall and weighs 43 kg. Like Yuuji Ueda, she works for Arts Vision. Naru Narusegawa can be considered as her break through role, granting her fame and popularity. She also undeniably one of the most gorgeous seiyuu-s I have ever seen (see picture). 'Argent Soma' (as Sue Harris), 'Fruits Basket' (as Honda Tohru), 'Kanon' (as Tsukimiya Ayu) and 'To Heart' (as Multi) are some anime she featured in. She also lends her voice for two of the best selling Xbox games, Dead or Alive 3 and Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball as Hitomi.

Yui also releases her own music album. She held a concert (Horie Yui First Live Tour) at Nagoya, Osaka and Nihon Seinenkan.
