Welcome to the 2003 season of the BWL. Here's the basic rundown 2 vs 2, 3 inning games of pure mayhem. Full stat tracking, all star voting, awards...and much much more. For more information contact Brian Schonfeld (Quagmyere@aol.com) or Nick Barese (Lsuace4@yahoo.co.uk)
The rules are as follows:
Three strikes, seven balls
Two outs per inning
Three Inning games
27 game season
There shall be no doctoring of equipment in any way, if any foul play is found, immediate suspension, the severity of the suspension will be determined at a later date.
Tape on the bat, must not exceed the height of the handle, tape on the barrel is strictly prohibited
Strike zone is obviously the chair, LEGS ARE STRIKES
To get an out, you must catch the ball before its motion has stopped. Also once a ball is by a fielder it is still an out if the fielder can reach the ball before it has struck the fence, or its motion has stopped. For example, if a ball is hit to left field and goes by the opposing player, if the player can grab the ball, CLEANLY before it reaches the grass, it is an out.
Playoffs consist of the top team from each division and two wildcard
Hopefully we can get twelve full teams, therefore there will be 2 leagues, the American And National. These Leagues will be broken up into 2 divisions with 3 teams each. Each division winner gets a bye in the playoffs. The second place team in each division, represents the wildcard. The Wildcard round is a one game series. The second round will be a 3 game series. The Championship series will also be a 3 games series. And the World Series will be a 5 game series
