So, big question – When is the next reunion? Do we wait for the 30 year mark? We have never done anything in a conventional manner before. We had our first reunion at 13 years and our last one was our 26th. Drop us a line, let us know what you think and pass this information around to those who you are still in contact with.

WOW!! TODAY IS FINALLY THE DAY!
Feeling like 17 again yet? Honestly, this is like waiting for grad night lol. I know already my mouth will be hurting from smiling all night long. We are all looking forward to seeing those of you who are coming tonight. Many thanks for all of your best wishes for a great party from those of you who weren't able to join us. But remember - next time....we aren't taking no for an answer, and NO EXCUSES!!!
So, for you guys coming tonight, put on your party shoes, and we'll see you in 7 hours!!

After months of planning, I can’t believe we are finally at this point. Our committee met last night, and I can’t express how pumped up we are about tomorrow night. I could go on and on, but instead I’ll just wish you all great day, sweet dreams, and we’ll all see you tomorrow night.

WE ARE GETTING CLOSER!!
With just 11 days away, all the plans and details for the reunion night are being finalized. As of today’s date there are 137 people coming to the reunion, which is fantastic!! When we first were in the planning stages, we didn’t even know if we would get 50 people lol. We are all going to have a great time together. There are still cheques that are in the mail, and then there are those who are still on the fence, and will let us know by next week. I’m sorry and we don’t want to insult anyone here, but this has to be said. We all have been working extremely hard in planning this special evening and do have deadlines to meet. The Sheraton Laval has to be paid completely by Tuesday of next week. Although we understand fully that some of you can only let us know by the end of next week, unfortunately we have a deadline to meet and really need to know and have your cheque as confirmation that you are coming by Tuesday, May 25th.
We really look forward to seeing all of you and for those who are on the fence,

During these last two days the reality of our reunion and how close we are to the 29th, is starting to sink in. I had the pleasure of meeting with two former classmates, whom I hadn’t seen for 26 years, because they had some photos that they wanted to share with all of us.
On Wednesday I met Linda Rusnak at Cavendish Mall. We had a lot of fun reminiscing, but unfortunately I had to run or else we would have been there for hours lol. I truly hope that she can change her plans and join us all at the reunion.
Yesterday I met with Pauline Hiotis at Tim Horton’s. We had a blast looking at all her photos of grad night (which can be see on the ‘Photo Gallery’ page), and shared lots of stories. She ran into Nazaret Pehlivanian at Lillie’s Bakery (talk about a blast from the past lol) in Chomedey and he recognized her, but wasn’t sure if she was Pauline or Helen (her sister). Of course they chatted about the reunion!! It was so nice to hear Pauline’s enthusiasm, and her laughter as she told me how people she has told about our reunion are jealous because their school hasn’t planned anything!!!
We all had our own special close-knit circle of friends in high school. Even though Linda and Pauline weren’t part of the people that I ‘hung’ out with, when we saw each other there was this bond and energy between us as if we were long lost friends. It was really nice playing catch up with both of them.
I guess I’m feeling really nostalgic these days. Looking at all old photos, reading yearbook inscriptions, having Jay Shapransky ring my doorbell unexpectedly to give me his reunion payment, hearing people recount their memories and stories, receiving e-mails from those who can’t wait for the day to come, getting enjoyment for bringing people together, meeting people whom I haven’t seen for 26 years – these are a few things that create our Western Laval bond and make the 5 years that we spent together special.
May 29th will be a very special night, a very special time, and we are all very lucky and fortunate to share this event together.

It’s incredible at how fast the time is flying until our reunion. There’s so much going on behind the scenes, so much I want to write and tell you of all the great things we have planned, but that wouldn’t be any fun, would it? LOL For those of you who have spoken to me on the phone, I have slipped out little tidbits of what we are planning, then giggle, and try to conceal my excitement and not tell you everything we are planning for that night. I have to tell you, it’s hard, and conversations with people whom I don’t really know are never 2 minutes lol. We are all so excited for the evening, and it's nice to see so many of you are too. You have every right to be, it’s not everyday there is a 26 year high school reunion about to take place.
To those who are already signed up – you are in for a real treat, be prepared to have a smile plastered on your faces all night!!
To those of you who haven’t sent in your payment yet – SHAME ON YOU!! LOL
And to those of you who honestly would love to come, but due to timing or distance you can’t – we’re sorry you won’t be there, and you will be missed
Hi everyone!! We had a reunion committee meeting last night and honestly we all laughed so hard that tears were starting to stream down our faces!! If our reunion will be half as much fun as we are having at our meetings, then you are all in for a real treat. We have so many surprises and fun things planned, that no one will want to leave LOL!!!
One of our own graduates Darryl Zeitz, who performs stand up comedy as a sideline, offered to entertain us with a short routine that will have us in stitches. Thank you in advance Darryl.

WOW is the time flying by!! Please, for those of you who haven't sent in a photo from their grad, high school group photo, or anything from Western Laval days, we'll even take photos from elementary school age, just SEND IT IN!! Seriously, we are having a Power Point presentation during the reunion evening and would love as many people's photos included as possible - especially those who are coming. Don't be shy, and if you don't have a scanner, or know someone who can scan your photo so that you can e-mail it to us, please write and we'll work something out.

We are at 120 paid, as of today’s date, and are awaiting another dozen or so cheques from people. Please, if you are on the fence and can’t decide whether to come or not, or may have plans for that evening, but would like to drop by, e-mail us and let us know. Maybe we can help you work it out. We want to make this assessable for everyone, and who knows when the next reunion will be.
This is going to be a fun evening and not one where you just sit at a table and talk for a few hours to your neighbour. We want everyone to have fun, and have lots of great things planned. Be a part of it, come and see everyone!!

Hey Everyone!! It's Shari, and I'm on a mini vacation with no laptop available for me to do updates grrrrr!!I found one to use today though, and it's nice to see so many who keep checking out the site. Please know, I will be updating the 'Look Who's Coming' list asap, and I also have quite a few new pictures to add for the 'Photo Gallery' page which I will do when I get back to Montreal. I will be back on Thursday night, so please look for website updates then. Until then, please send in your reunion payments and be good. The countdown continues!!!!
Time to meet all the people who have put a lot of time and effort into planning this great evening. We have been meeting regularly and honestly we have a hard time staying on track because we keep on sharing stories, memories and we can't forget our laughter. It has been great, and hard to believe that something that was just a thought has blossomed into a reality and we are only 40 days away from our reunion.I can’t reiterate enough to please send in your cheques if you haven’t done so yet. We have many great things planned for the evening, but need to know our budget so we can allocate funds for certain things.
This is going to be a fun filled memorable evening. This is your evening and we want you to be part of it!!

After the long weekend of no mail delivery on Friday or Monday, waiting anxiously by the front door for my mailman, who has now become the person who I want to see first in the mornings, has become a priority!! Sometimes he comes at 8:30 a.m. (est.) and on some days he has the nerve to keep the suspense building and delivers the mail only at noon!!!!!! It's nice to see so many envelopes, and as soon as they are received, please know they are posted on the 'Look Who's Coming' link on the website.
With only 45 days left to the reunion, please know we are on our campaign to get as many as we can to join us on May 29th for a great night!!!

THE LIST IS GROWING AND GROWING!!
Thank you to everyone who submitted their reunion payments by March 31st. Yes, as you have all noticed, we did extend the deadline. We also have received a tremendous amount of e-mails saying
" YES I AM COMING TO THE PARTY!!", but we need your payment to count you in. Please understand that we have financial obligations since deposits are required in order to secure things needed for the reunion. This is going to be a fantastic evening and we have lots of wonderful surprises in store for you !!!

Believe it or not, we have been asked this question not only by females, but males as well. There is no 'dress code', but the majority will be wearing semi-formal attire.
