Welcome to "The New"         

I wanted to have a website that was "Dedicated to Firefighters". Trisha's Dedication
just didn't sound right. The collection of fire memorabilia started after talking with a
friend in America, and a close friend and his father here. From that mild
fascination it then grew into an obsession - hence the name. I then had someone justify
the name "trishas_obsession" in this simple quote -
"OBSESSED IS JUST A WORD THE LAZY USE TO DESCRIBE THE DEDICATED".

       What is "Trishas_Obsession" about?
Simply its a web site DEDICATED TO FIREFIGHTERS   and taking pictures and writing articles
of those incidents of the Queensland Fire & Rescue Service, its firefighters and vehicles.
It's about information on firefighters here in Brisbane as well as Overseas.
Particular details of these various incidents are then stored on this web site. The images and
articles may also be shared with other interested bodies or groups.
"Trishas_Obsession" always considers the privacy of staff and persons attached to these incidents
and conceals certain details, in particular un-marked vehicle licence plate details are always
withheld.
It has not been commissioned, and I receive no money to run it.
The Queensland Fire & Rescue Service DOES KNOW of its existence, and I have
received a letter from the Commissioner Lee Johnson congratulating me on both
establishing the site and for my endeavours to highlight the role of the QFRS officers both within
Australia and Overseas.
"Trishas_Obsession" is currently listed with four (4) New York Fire Department related sites,
plus 3 personal ones.
An article from the website was published with the F.D.N.Y. newspaper "Fire News" in
December 2002.

The website was conceived in August 2001 and bought to the
internet in June 2002.

Since August 2003 until now the site has had 1175 hits - since it started roughly 10,525 hits
to everyone who keeps coming back and to those who are new THANK YOU!!!
