The Matrix Revolutions

The Matrix has run out of gas!
The final installment of The Matrix is by far the biggest failure among film trilogies. In fact The Matrix Revolutions is really just another science
fiction action film that has been there and done that. All of the elements that made The Matrix and Reloaded so interesting are
noticeable absent here.
Gone is the intriguing chemistry between Neo and Trinity, as the viewer is really left with nobody to really care for as the limited plot unwinds. The really exciting action scenes that made the first two films so exciting and fast past are also absent. The middle third of the film has the people of Zion battling the machines for a good 30 minutes, to be honest, I was really bored at this point into the film. Why couldn't the Wachowski brothers have the battle of Zion and the big Agent Smith-Neo showdown happen
simultaneously with cuts back a forth is beyond me.
While watching The Matrix Revolutions it became clear to me that this film really is totally different than watching the first two. The complexity and sophistication of the earlier two are not here. In fact, I feel kind of cheated in that I had so much emotional investment in the first two to be completely unsatisfied with the final installment.
What was good about The Matrix Revolutions was that it once again set the bar for special effects and CGI, although some of the CGI did look a little un-natural. Agent Smith was also pretty good, but Trinity was barely in the film. The pacing of the film was a
disappointing slow.
The battle of Zion was ridiculous and dumb, I never really believed that Trinity really loved Neo and I then started cracking up during the her farewell scene. I can now say it I am now
officially sick of the whole "he believes" idea that Morheus keeps blurting out.
In conclusion, The Matrix Revolutions really failed. It really seemed like the Wachowski brothers ran out of gas. The characters were one
dimensional, Neo seemed as thought he really ain't no "the ONE" and it seemed as though it was rushed, actually the Wachowski brothers tried way to hard.
Where was the edgy, techno, highly stylized substance from the The Matrix or Reloaded. Where was the complicated, inspiring concept from the 1999 original. The Matrix Revolutions was poor way to end a trilogy, oh, but Neo should be back.
I mean, "if you are going to go out" and least "go out in some sort of style"
As for any exciting PAYOFF ending, well another way to put it is that The Matrix Revolutions flat out SUCKED!
