Alliance Advice
This is advice for all alliances to consider. I've lead and been a member of many successful alliance and these are a few of the common traits amongst them all:
- Naming: This game is obviously all about words, and how well you are at using them. A good kingdom name, alliance name, and character name are all important. They can make or break you.
- Be Selective: When you are inviting a person or group of persons to an alliance, be sure to know what you are putting yourself up too. A hungry vampire, moon crazed wolf, or blood thirsty orges and orcs may join an alliance searching for new victims. Inviting these people is potentually a threat to yourself, and your allies. I suggest looking at the ranking, race, and history of a kingdom before sending out an invite. Writing them a formal, PM might be helpful as well. The criteria you set for your members is up to you, remember, quality over quantity.
- Color: Go to your Options page and scroll to the bottom. Down there is a box with the letters "RRR,GGG,BBB". The RRR section means red, the GGG section means Green, and the BBB section means Blue. Replace the letters with 3 digit numbers ranging from 0 to 255. There must be 3 sections, each with 3 digits. Any of the digits can be 0. I suggest taking a few minutes to experiment with that. [More on this can be found in Questions #10-11 here.]
- Your History: The History of your kingdom is HTML based coding. All the coloring, addition of pics, ect. must all be implimented by HTML codes. Alliance leaders especially need a good history. There are many examples you can look at in the View History part of the History section. Look at different ones and see what you like. If you need any help with the HTML PM me I am an amiture but will try to aide you.
- Organization: Any alliance you run needs to be well organised. Give the members things to do and a goal to strive for. This will keep them interested.
- Ask for Help: If you dont understand something, look over Gen Mail, and if you need to post there asking for help. Also visiting chat, there are always people there.
