Sigma Lambda Chi was founded on January 29, 1985, after disaffiliating with the national fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau. Our belief was that by switching to a local chapter, we would be able to govern ourselves and abide by what we believed in. This remains true to this day. We have members on all different organizations and clubs on campus such as architecture club, ASSE, history club, MVP. A fraternity of 21 active members, Sigma brothers are a close, tight-knit unit that has been actively involved in the campus community throughout its existence. For example, in 2001 Sigma held a bowl-a-thon to support the Make-a-Wish foundation, raising nearly 1500 dollars for the charity. Also, during Fall 07' we raised over $1000 for Breast Cancer Awareness and plan on future events for the cause. Above all, Sigma Lambda Chi is a fraternity rich in tradition and values, and will continue to be in the years to come.
