David and Ryan's Journal
3th Report
Mon, July 25:
Today's 100 miles from Amarillo to Childress, TX was the hardest 100 miles ever in David's life. The constant, relentless 21 mph South cross wind kept his pace at an agonizing 15 mph - compared to his usual 21 mph. The vastness of this State is awesome - there's nothing around for as far as the eye can see. Today's trek was all downhill bringing us to an elevation of 1,800'.
David's huge dinner tonight consisted of the following: Half a pack of fig newtons, chips, a pint of soup, garlic bread, 12oz. of chicken with pasta, french toast and a brownie with ice cream.
Tonight, as usual, we're staying at the Days Inn in Childress, TX. We're grateful for the wireless broadband in all the rooms so we can stay connected to the rest of the word. Bye for now,
Thank you very much for everything you're doing,
David and Ryan
