would like to invite all UCAR drivers ,owners,Track owners and promoters to the Walls Roofing UCAR Clash for Cash Championship banquet and rules meeting for the 2009 season on DEC. 6th at Logans Roadhouse on Whiteoak Rd. and Timber Dr. in Garner NC at 3:00.
At the rule meeting we will look at tracks to run next year as well as vote on rules on weight and taking the gray areas out of the 2008 rule book. We will take a vote on tires as well.
UCAR Clash fans are welcome to come and see the 2008 Champion crowned and the Piedmont Racing Expo rookie of the year award to our first ever rookie driver.
Friday at WCS, the Walls Roofing UCAR Clash for Cash cars put on a great show for the fans at WCS. The car count and fan count was low because of the 4.00-5.50 gas. If you could not find gas or if you found it you could not get in the gas station to get it.

The top three in both heat races received $100.00 for first,$50.00 Second, and Third $25.00.
In the main event Herdon #58 and Ward #22 dropped to the back of the pack to make a run for the Foss Hard charger Award. Both of those cars came to the front and split the bonus money last night. After 35 laps the race was called by speedway officials due to a lot of hot action on the track we had a lot of cautions. You would have thought it was a full moon last night with all the yellow flags in the air.

Albert POPS Lamont #07 takes over the points lead with Davie Lamont #28 taking over second. With John Vernon leaving the Clash to move up to the trucks at SNRP next year it has left third place up for grabs at the SNRP NOV. 30th championship race.
The next UCAR Clash for Cash race will be at Dillon Motor Speedway on Saturday OCT.4th. The Championship race weekend at SNRP the UCAR Clash will be the support class for the LMS 300 lap race. So lets get ready for Dillon see you at the track OCT 4th.

$50.00 from Foss Auto Recycling of Greenville NC for the Hard Charger award for the most spots improved car in the main event.
$75.00 From Walls Roofing $25.00 gas cards to the 4th-5th and 6th place cars.
$200.00 from Boyce McCaskill Auto Service of Raleigh NC $25.00 Gas cards to the 7th-8th-9th-10th-11th-12th-13th and 14th place cars.

With 19 UCARS starting on Friday night it was a great race at WCS. They came to race from NC and VA we had some new drivers make their very first starts ever in a race car. This is a good sign of the future of the Walls Roofing UCAR Clash for Cash series. With the next race at Dillon Motor Speedway on Sept. 6 2008 it looks like we should have a lot of new cars as well as our regular Clash cars for that race. Although this is not a points race for the Clash there will be a 50 point bonus for all cars that make the Dillon race.
Everyone loved the fact of getting a $25.00 gas card for the 4-5-6th place cars plus the normal purse. The gas card deal with the help of a new sponsor for the Clash will go back from 4-10th place to help get our teams to the race at Dillon.

Jason Capps dominated the first U-Car Clash for Cash race at Wake County Speedway this year, leading wire to wire for the win. Capps, of Smithfield, piloted his #29 Chevrolet Cavalier car to both a heat race win and the feature. The second heat race was won by Albert Lamont, in a Pontiac. Both of these cars have 8-valve engines. In the feature, Ray Forrest Jr. finished second, driving a Honda Prelude. Jimmy Horner, Lamont and Joshua Eubanks rounded out the top five finishers. Forrest won a $50 bonus for his run from 10th to 2nd place, picking up the Foss Hard Charger Award. Capps took home a $50 bonus for having a Walls' Roofing decal on his winning car.

UCAR CLASH DRIVERS DOMINATE AT SNRP
Jason Capps won Albert Lamont took second in a hard fought race on April 6. Both cars started in the back and came to the front in the 15-lap event. See the Clash race at Southern National Raceway Park on May 17.
