Hey Kathryn, Way to go, girl! We enjoy raising good cattle that perform well in the show ring, but what we enjoy even more is seeing our kids enjoying life. By her smile you would think her calf just won first place. Well, her calf placed fourth and she's still having a great time, as evidenced by the smile. |

Kathryn & JR Boomer Houston Livestock Show, 2007 |
Kathryn's second Texas Longhorn Show was at the Houston Livestock Show in 1999. She was 9 years old and in the 3rd grade. In the make-ready area, her bull, St. Nicholas, started "acting like a bull" and Kathryn got a bit nervous about showing him. Overcoming her fear, she led him into the ring and won the class and her first Class Champion belt buckle. | Kathryn has shown a lot of animals in the past 8 years, winning numerous championships and a lot of belt buckles. Here she is shown with JR Boomer, owned by David Johnson & Carole Reardon of JR Ranch. With Kathryn on the lead rope, JR Boomer was selected as the Reserve Grand Champion at the 2007 Houston Livestock Show. Kat, you've come a long way, baby! |
